The team has been announced for the first match starting on 19th September. India played a Test series against England earlier this year. No test match has been played since then. Gambhir has become the captain in place of Dravid and the aim of the Indian team is to prepare itself for the final of the World Test Championship.

India clashed with Bangladesh in 2022
In the year 2022, the Indian team went on a tour of Bangladesh. During this, Rohit Sharma’s army had defeated the hosts 2-0. Team India won the first match by 188 runs. Whereas, in the second match, India defeated Bangladesh by three wickets. In the second match, India lost seven wickets while achieving the target of 145 runs. Gill, KL Rahul, Pujara, Kohli and Pant could not even reach double figures. These batsmen will be kept an eye on in the upcoming series.
Indian team is struggling against spin
Earlier this year, the Indian team had defeated England 4-1 in the five-match Test series. Even though Rohit Sharma’s forces managed to defeat England by a huge margin, the Indian players were seen struggling against the spinners.
